3 Pros of using WordPress is that it is easy to use, it is free to establish an account, and there is a large database of material to learn more about creating a website. 3 Cons of using WordPress is that there may be too many options to choose from to create your website and one might feel overwhelmed, there are a lot of plugins and themes used and they all must be kept up-to-date to ensure a secure site, and that there still needs to be a little bit of self-learning to find the exact function you want to use. Overall, WordPress is still one of the best options when it comes to website creation, and it’s ease of use and ubiquity is more valuable than any negative aspect.

The Most Important Feature
The most important feature on the newly designed website is the usage of a products page. Since this website is centered around being an e-commerce website, it is important that the end-user can see all of the products displayed neatly on a single page as if they were browsing through a real store. This feature allows for efficient browsing and easy setup from the admin’s end as well.
Why I Chose This Theme
I chose this theme because it is very relevant for e-commerce. I believe if your end goal is to sell a product to a consumer, then the site will need to be designed such that they can easily see all of the products in an efficient way. The customizations I made to the theme were the header and footer color as well as the background image.
Newly Installed Plugins
The plugins that I have installed on this new website are: “Elementor”, “Redirection”, and “Easy Duplicate Post”. “Elementor” is able to open up the efficiency of my post creation by making the text editing more seamless with real time previews. “Redirection” is helpful for when the site experiences a crash like 404 or 301 redirects. When users experience these crashes, instead of hitting a traditional error page, they can be sent to an appropriate website for us. “Easy Duplicate Post” makes it simple and straightforward to copy a pre-existing post so that another version can be made or for redundancy purposes. This is helpful to cut down time if one post is very similar to the last.
Reactivated Plugins
I chose to reactivate “Accessibility by UserWay”, “Simple Social Buttons”, “Smart Slider 3”, “W3 Total Cache” and “WooCommerce”. I reactivated “Accessibility by UserWay” because I would like to retain the accessibility features in my website. This is helpful to ensure I am meeting all accessibility standards. I also reactivated “Simple Social Buttons” because it is important as a e-commerce website to be able to connect social media to the products. I also reactivated “Smart Slider 3” because it can provide a nice widget that has sliding images to put products front and center. I also activated “W3 Total Cache” to make sure that the website will be running smoothly.
